Adjunct Job Announcement

Position: Dental Hygiene Adjunct Instructor

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety

Reports to: Program Chair for Dental Programs & Divisional Academic Dean

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:

  •   Supervise and instruct dental hygiene students during clinic.
  • Support clinical facilities.
  • Help provide a safe environment for the provision of instruction and patient care.
  • Regularly evaluate student achievement and provide student feedback.
  • Attend required staff meetings.
  • Complete ALL required trainings.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, administrators, faculty & staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Georgia.
  • Knowledge of Dentrix Software.
  • Associate’s degree.
  • Two (2) years clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of previous work experience as a dental hygienist.
  • Certified Dental Assistant.
  • Holds a current BLS certification for Health-care providers.
  • Experience in electronic delivery and online learning.
